Job summary

Mango Hill Tavern is seeking a proactive Duty Manager to lead daily operations across food, beverage, gaming, and events. You will guide the front-of-house team, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and drive service standards in a busy, recently renovated venue in Mango Hill.

The role requires leadership experience in hospitality, strong communication, and skills in cash handling and revenue reporting. RSA/RSG certificates are preferred or willingness to obtain, with staff discounts and career

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day venue operations across food, beverage, gaming and functions.
• Deliver guest experiences and maintain high service standards.

• Manage bookings and private functions.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
• Assist with cash management, revenue reporting and end-of-day reconciliation.
• Collaborate with Venue Manager to drive operational success.

Mango Hill Tavern is looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Duty Manager to join our leadership team.

Located in the heart of Mango Hill, our recently renovated venue is a favourite with locals, featuring a vibrant bistro, spacious sports bar, gaming room, sweeping alfresco deck, family-friendly play area and a thriving functions business. With live entertainment, major sporting events and private functions, no two days are the same.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading day-to-day venue operations across food, beverage, gaming and functions.
• Delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high service standards.
• Coaching, developing and motivating the front-of-house team.
• Supporting labour management, venue presentation and operational compliance.
• Managing bookings, private functions and key trading periods.
• Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally.
• Assisting with cash management, revenue reporting and end-of-day reconciliation.
• Working closely with the Venue Manager to drive operational success.

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to building a long-term career.
• Previous experience in a Duty Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong food, beverage and functions experience.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Sound understanding of cash handling, revenue reporting and venue operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and confidence in resolving guest concerns.
• Effective labour management and rostering experience.Proficient computer skills.
• Current RSA & RSG certificates (RMLV highly regarded or willingness to obtain).
