Job summary

Vicinity Centres Northland in Melbourne’s north seeks an Assistant Operations Manager to support the Operations Manager and team, ensuring safety, compliance, cleanliness and efficient operations across the centre. You will work with staff, contractors and retailers to maintain presentation, manage budgets, and drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives while upholding local regulations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of teams to achieve outcomes.
• Experience in operations for retail or mixed-use assets with budget involvement.
• Experience managing complex building services contracts (security, cleaning, HVAC).
• Exposure to risk registers and HSE audits.

Responsibilities

• Support the Operations Manager in day-to-day management of suppliers and contracts.
• Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed.
• Support building presentation to high standards.
