Job summary

Vicinity Centres is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager for The Glen, Melbourne. This role supports the Operations Manager in daily supplier and contract management, safety, and presentation standards while enhancing customer experiences and stakeholder engagement.

The position emphasizes budget control, capital projects, and energy-sustainability initiatives in a dynamic retail/mixed-use environment. 12-month parental leave contract until Dec 2027.

Qualifications

• Developing leader with a track record of achieving positive outcomes through others.
• Experience in operations for retail or mixed-use assets with budget involvement.
• Experience managing complex building services contracts.
• Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Exposure to risk registers and HSE audits.
• Understanding of emergency management and warden roles.
• Ability to improve building efficiency and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Support Operations Manager in day-to-day management of suppliers and contracts (security, cleaning, HVAC, etc.).
• Assist safety and emergency procedures and operate emergency equipment.
• Support building presentation to high standards and risk management.
• Contribute to capital projects and budget programs.
• Help ensure Essential Safety Measures obligations are met.
