Job summary

Coates Hire Operations Pty Limited is seeking an experienced Major Projects Manager in Belmont, WA to develop key customer partnerships and drive growth across WA's largest infrastructure, construction, mining and industrial projects.

You will manage major project accounts, lead commercial negotiations, and collaborate with branches, operations and sales to deliver exceptional customer outcomes across the Perth Southern Region.

Qualifications

• Experience managing major projects, strategic accounts, or large customer portfolios.
• Strong background in equipment hire, construction, infrastructure, mining or industrial services.
• Proven track record building long-term customer relationships and growing accounts.
• Strong commercial acumen with pricing, contracts or project agreements negotiation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Strong planning, organisation and opportunity management capability.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple teams to deliver outcomes.
• Proactive, self-driven approach with accountability and results.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence and willingness to travel throughout the region.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Tier 1 contractors, subcontractors and key project stakeholders.
• Manage a portfolio of major project accounts across construction, infrastructure, mining and industrial sectors.
• Identify opportunities to grow revenue, profitability and share of wallet throughout the project lifecycle.
• Act as the primary commercial contact for customers across multiple projects and locations.
• Lead customer engagement activities, project reviews and stakeholder meetings.
• Negotiate pricing structures and commercial agreements in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with branches, operations and sales teams to ensure customer commitments are delivered.
• Maintain visibility of future project opportunities through effective pipeline and opportunity management.
• Champion Coates' Safety First - Zero Harm culture across all customer interactions.

Our Belmont team is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Major Projects Manager to develop key customer partnerships and drive growth across some of WA's largest infrastructure, construction, mining and industrial projects.

This is a senior sales role where you'll work closely with Tier 1 contractors, subcontractors and project stakeholders, positioning Coates as a trusted partner throughout the project lifecycle. From identifying future opportunities and managing commercial negotiations to delivering exceptional customer outcomes, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting major projects across the Perth Southern Region.
