Job summary

Western Downs Regional Council is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Officer to perform planned and reactive maintenance on council facilities across multiple towns. The role involves coordinating maintenance and renovations by contractors and providing technical guidance to community groups and staff.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant carpentry trade qualification (or equivalent experience), and have licenses/ tickets such as White Card, MR Licence, and operator training.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Carpentry or demonstrated equivalent experience in building maintenance.
• Construction White Card (QLD) held.
• MR Drivers Licence required.
• Aerodrome Reporting Officer and Aerodrome Radio Operator Training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Undertake repairs, maintenance, replacements and modifications of Council buildings and campgrounds.
• Assess requested works, prioritise service CRM requests, and procure suitable treatment options.
• Identify and resolve issues with equipment across facilities (heating, lifts, HVAC).
