Job summary

Western Downs Regional Council in Miles, QLD seeks a Ganger (Leading Hand - Works Maintenance) to deliver maintenance and operating services that sustain community infrastructure in a growing region. You will work under the Works Supervisor in a leadership capacity while performing hands-on maintenance tasks.

The role requires a Certificate III in Civil Construction (or equivalent experience) and plant operation competency, plus a White Card and a valid LR licence (HR desirable).

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent experience.
• Verification of competency in operation of various types of plant.
• OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card.
• Open ‘LR’ class drivers licence or willingness to obtain.
• Heavy Rigid (HR) licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support maintenance operations to sustain council infrastructure.
• Provide a high level of support to the Works Supervisor in a leading role while performing tasks.
