Job summary

NewCold is seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter and Turner to join our field team in Sydney. You will ensure electrical and mechanical systems operate to support customer service KPIs, carry out planned, predictive and reactive maintenance, and maintain a safe working environment across our cold-store facilities.

Reporting to the maintenance planner and operations team, you will perform preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime, and keep accurate records of maintenance

Qualifications

• Electrical and mechanical maintenance qualifications required.
• Fitter & Turner trade qualification or equivalent.
• Driver's license and First Aid certificate are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure electrical and mechanical systems operate to support customer service KPIs.
• Carry out planned, predictive and reactive maintenance.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform preventive maintenance programmes as determined by the equipment manufacturer.
• Respond efficiently to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Liaise with the Planner and Operations team to identify impact on Customers.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance tasks and report variations vs. plan.
• Provide customer service guidance to management on options to resolve.

About the vacancy

• To ensure electrical and mechanical systems operate, in order to support customer service KPI's.
• Carry out planned, predictive and reactive maintenance.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform preventive maintenance programmes as determined by the manufacturer's equipment.
• Respond efficiently to breakdown conditions so as to minimise equipment downtime.
• Liaise with the Planner and Operations team to identify the impact of breakdown events on Customers.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance tasks completed and report any variations vs. plan.
