Job summary

NewCold is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure electrical and mechanical systems operate reliably in our Sydney facilities. You will perform planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance, uphold safety standards, and liaise with planning to minimise downtime.

The role requires qualified Electrician or Fitter & Turner, valid licenses, and certifications such as forklift/scissor lift and First Aid. Your expertise will help sustain world‑class cold storage operations for our customers.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician or Fitter & Turner with relevant trade certification.
• Valid Driver's License and forklift/scissor lift certifications are preferred.
• Electrical License and safety certifications (First Aid, WAH) are required or highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure electrical and mechanical systems operate to support customer service KPIs.
• Carry out planned, predictive and reactive maintenance.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform preventive maintenance programmes as determined by equipment manufacturers.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Liaise with Planner and Operations to assess impacts on customers.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance and report variances vs. plan.
• Provide options to resolve breakdowns when service is affected.
