NewCold is seeking a mid–senior Maintenance Technician to support our west‑Melbourne cold storage facilities. You will work on electrical and mechanical systems, collaborating with technicians and operators to maximise uptime and ensure food safety.

The role requires a Qualified Maintenance Fitter and Turner with Disconnect/Reconnect, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and the ability to operate in -23°C environments. Permanent shift, 4 days on/4 days off, with generous terms.

We’reseeking a mid–senior level Maintenance Technician.
Applicants who are Grade A Electricians, Fitters & Turners withDisconnect/Reconnect, or multi‑skilled across both trades are encouraged toapply, especially those with strong industrial experience.
Roster: Permanent Shift
Days: 4 days on, 4 days off Rotating
Hours: 6:00am to 6:00pm/6:00pm to 6:00am
Salary:$150,000.00 - $163,000.00 gross per annum approximately. Rates include allowances asper EBA.

Located inthe west of Melbourne, our team is dedicated to delivering food safety byefficiently resolving issues and thinking outside the box to troubleshoot whilemaintaining a safe working environment. This role offers the chance to workwith a variety of equipment in different applications, allowing you to expandyour skillset on state-of-the-art technology. You will collaborate withTechnicians and Operators to ensure maximum performance and availability of ourautomated facilities and systems.

Your role as a Maintenance Technician

Main Duties:

• To ensure electrical and mechanical systems operate, in order to support customer service KPI’s
• Carry out planned, predictive and reactive maintenance
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Perform preventive maintenance program as determined by the manufacturer’s equipment
• Respond efficiently to breakdown conditions so as to minimise equipment downtime
• Liaise with the Planner and Operations team to identify the impact of breakdown events on Customers
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance tasks completed and report any variations vs. plan
• Under breakdown conditions that are, or are likely to affect Customer Service, to advise management of options to resolve.
