Job summary

EPSA Pacific is seeking a qualified Maintenance Supervisor to join our Australian operation at the Callide Mine, near Biloela, Queensland. You will lead maintenance teams with a strong focus on safety, planning, and execution of the maintenance plan.

Reporting to the Superintendent, you will drive hazard identification, coaching, and timely work order closeouts while ensuring reliable plant performance in a mine environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate Standard 11 and mine-specific qualifications are required.
• G1/G8/G9 tickets and Australian trade qualification preferred.
• Forklift, confined space, and working at heights certifications within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities with a strong safety focus and risk management.
• Coach and mentor team members to build a positive workplace culture.
• Ensure accurate work order feedback and closeouts to improve efficiency.
• Provide leadership to workshop maintenance crews to meet the maintenance plan.
• Assist in implementing safety plans with supervisors and managers.
• Track maintenance performance and communicate issues promptly.

We are a global family-owned business with over 60 years in the mining, civil and earth moving industry. Operating in several countries throughout the world, this opportunity as a qualified and experienced Maintenance Supervisor will see you in the Australian operation working at the Callide Mine, near Biloela in Queensland.

About the role

While reporting to the Superintendent:

• Ensure maintenance activities prioritise safety, through effective hazard identification and risk management.
• Provide leadership through coaching, mentoring, and developmental activities to members of the team driving a positive workplace culture.
• Ensure work order feedback and closeouts are completed accurately to improve maintenance efficiencies.
• Provide leadership to the workshop maintenance crews to achieve the maintenance plan.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager & Superintendents in implementing safety plans.
• Track maintenance performance and ensure operational issues are managed and communicated in a timely manner.

To be successful you will have:

• Certificate Standard 11
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
• Current Coal Board Medical, or willingness to complete along with a Pre
• Employment Medical including drug and alcohol test
• First Aid Certificate
• Demonstrate positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour
• Effective people management and development experience and skills
• Experience working for a medium to large mine operator/contractor
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Work Planning and scheduling skills
• G1, G8, G9 (formerly S1,S2,S3) and G2 tickets
• Australian trade qualified with extensive experience in the maintenance of mining plant and equipment.
• Previous experience in supervisory roles (leading hand experience considered but direct supervisory experience preferred)
• Forklift ticket, Confined space and working at heights (within 5 years)
• Minimum 5 years mining experience in the maintenance of mining plant and equipment
• Preferably experience with Komatsu 5500, Excavator Liebherr 996B and 930E Trucks
