Job summary

Batchfire Resources Pty Ltd operates the Callide Mine near Biloela, Central Queensland. We are seeking a Maintenance Officer to join the growing Maintenance Department and support supervisors and planners in delivering safe, reliable maintenance.

The role includes planning, supervision, CMMS data updates and ensuring high work standards across site operations. Based at Callide Mine near Biloela, this is a permanent full-time position on a 5/4/4/5 day-night rotating roster; ideal candidates will

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a maintenance trade or related role.
• Experience in planning or supervising is highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for the role.
• Proven ability to work within a team and adapt to changing rosters.

• Ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.

Batchfire Resources Pty Ltd is an Australian private company that owns and operates the Callide Mine near Biloela in Central Queensland.

A long-standing operation, Callide Mine is an open-cut coal mine producing thermal coal for domestic power generation and alumina refining. The operation has significant recoverable coal reserves and long-term supply contracts in place, ensuring its long-term future. The operation has two coal handling plants at two different sites on the lease.

The mine utilizes draglines, dozers, excavators, loaders, large truck fleets and coal handling facilities to produce coal for domestic and export customers.

About the Role

The role of Maintenance Officer presents an exciting career opportunity to be part of a growing Maintenance Department.

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent of the respective area you will be the conduit between Supervisors & Planners supporting the maintenance department with:

• Ensuring a safe and healthy working environment
• Assisting with the management of planned and breakdown maintenance
• Performing relief supervision and planning roles as required.
• Review and update information within sites CMMS and systems
• Equipment work order & overhaul scoping
• Conduct performance safety inspections and interactions
• Maintain work standards to a high level

The Maintenance Officer will be a keen and enthusiastic maintenance leader who understands the importance of company compliance and the role supervisors & planners play in fostering workplace culture. You are a great communicator and organiser and are a natural at developing trusting relationships across all parts of the organisation. You thrive in a fast-paced environment whilst having a highly diverse job role. This is a permanent, full-time position working an 5/4/4/5 lifestyle straight day/nightshift rotating roster at Callide Mine near Biloela.
