Job summary

Emeco in Middlemount, QLD, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor with a strong on-the-floor presence to lead a team across 80+ machines, delivering preventative maintenance and repairs safely and efficiently. You’ll mentor the maintenance crew, uphold a safety-first culture, manage budgets and timelines, and work closely with Emeco customers to meet site objectives.

This is a permanent full-time role with a 7 on/7 off roster, camp accommodation nearby, and a competitive package

Qualifications

• A relevant, nationally recognised trade qualification, with at least 5 years' experience managing heavy equipment maintenance in both workshop and field environments.
• Mining Supervisor Certifications – G1, G8, G9 and G2.
• Standard 11 Competency.
• Strong technical knowledge of heavy earthmoving equipment commonly used in mining operations.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and understand operational needs.
• Solid understanding of HSET standards within QLD mining.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen aligned with project goals and budget targets.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing supervision with a strong on-the-floor presence for successful plan execution.
• Lead, manage and coordinate maintenance across 80+ machines, ensuring PMs and repairs are safe and cost-effective.
• Mentor the maintenance team and develop efficient, productive practices across site.
• Promote a safety-first culture and ensure high safety awareness and compliance.
• Achieve maintenance, reliability and optimisation targets on time and within budget, in collaboration with customers and stakeholders.

About the Role

• Provide ongoing, hands-on supervision with a strong on-the-floor presence, maintaining visibility across site, keeping eyes on equipment, and maintaining a thorough understanding of each scope of work to ensure successful plan execution.
• Lead, manage and coordinate employees, facilities and maintenance activities across 80+ machines, ensuring preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs are completed safely, efficiently, cost-effectively and to a high professional standard.
• Provide visible leadership, mentoring and support to the maintenance team, working closely with Leading Hands to develop and maintain efficient, productive and accountable maintenance practices across site.
• Actively promote a strong safety-first culture, leading by example and ensuring safe work practices, compliance and high levels of safety awareness are consistently maintained.
• Ensure maintenance, reliability and optimisation targets are achieved on time and within budget, while working collaboratively with Emeco customers and key stakeholders to support broader organisational objectives.

What You’ll Bring
