Job summary

Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT is seeking a proactive Maintenance Officer for a Full Time role at our Young, NSW facility. The position is 76 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:36 PM, coordinating repairs and carrying out essential upkeep to ensure a safe, well-maintained living environment for residents.

Qualifications

• General maintenance tasks may include electrical, plumbing, carpentry and building work.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general maintenance and repairs (basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and building work)
• Keeping outdoor spaces tidy with gardening and grounds maintenance incl. mowing, hedging, sweeping, hosing and upkeep
• Completing planned preventative maintenance in line with site schedules
• Responding to reactive maintenance requests in designated areas
• Monitoring maintenance works to ensure regulatory compliance
• Actively contributing to Work Health & Safety practices
