You will work closely with management to ensure our facilities are safe, functional and presented to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance or facilities maintenance.
• Strong handyman skills and ability to complete repairs independently.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and building inspections.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple properties and prioritise maintenance requests.
• Strong communication skills with management, tenants, hotel staff and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repairs across hotel and commercial properties.
• Respond to maintenance requests from management, hotel staff and tenants.
• Complete general repairs including painting, plasterboard repairs, sealing and minor tiling.
• Conduct regular building inspections and identify issues before they worsen.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs and property checks.
• Maintain hotel guest rooms, corridors, public areas and back-of-house spaces.
• Maintain commercial building common areas and facilities.
• Attend to minor plumbing issues, door and lock repairs and fixtures.
• Investigate and report water leaks and other maintenance issues.
• Coordinate contractors and licensed tradespeople for repairs and servicing.
• Assist with appliance installation and replacement as required.
• Order maintenance materials and obtain repair quotations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests and completed works.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
• Maintain clean, safe and organised work areas.
• Assist with urgent maintenance issues when required.

Working closely with management, you will help ensure our hotel and commercial buildings are safe, functional, well-maintained and presented to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repairs across hotel and commercial properties.
• Respond to maintenance requests from management, hotel staff and tenants.
• Complete general repairs, including painting, patching, plasterboard repairs, silicone sealing and minor tiling.
• Conduct regular building inspections and identify maintenance issues before they become larger problems.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs and scheduled property checks.
• Maintain hotel guest rooms, corridors, public areas, back-of-house spaces and building facilities.
• Maintain commercial building common areas, amenities and facilities.
• Attend to minor plumbing issues, door and lock repairs, fixtures, fittings and general building defects.
• Investigate and report water leaks, damage and other building maintenance issues.
• Coordinate contractors and licensed tradespeople for specialist repairs and servicing.
• Assist with appliance installation and replacement where required.
• Order maintenance materials and assist with obtaining repair quotations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests, inspections and completed works.

About You

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance, commercial building maintenance or facilities maintenance.
