Job summary

Blacktown Workers Club Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to manage daily maintenance for our hospitality and sporting venues. The role requires an electrical trade background and strong organisation to coordinate building services and plant across the group.

You will lead hands-on electrical work within your licence, schedule preventative maintenance, and oversee external contractors, ensuring safety and compliance while minimising disruption to members and guests.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification and relevant experience.
• Experience in commercial property, facilities, hospitality or clubs.
• Licences: EWP, confined space, working at heights, first aid & low voltage rescue.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance across the group, including building services, plant, equipment and facilities.
• Carry out hands‑on maintenance and electrical work within your qualifications and licence.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors and trades.
• Manage preventative maintenance schedules and ensure maintenance issues are followed through to completion.
• Respond to urgent maintenance issues and breakdowns.
• Assist with planned projects, repairs, upgrades and improvements across the group.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, invoices and documentation.
• Monitor contractor compliance, permits, licences and relevant documentation.
• Work closely with Operations and other departments to minimise disruption to our members, guests and team.
• Support workplace health and safety requirements, including ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with relevant procedures and best practices.

Workers Lifestyle Group is entering an exciting period of growth, and we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and oversee the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our busy Hospitality and Sporting Group.

This brand-new hands-on role is an exciting opportunity suited to someone with an electrical trade background who also has strong organisational and administrative skills.

About The Role

Reporting to the Group Facilities & Maintenance Manager, you will oversee day-to-day maintenance activities, coordinate contractors and trades, respond to maintenance issues, and ensure our facilities, equipment and building services are maintained to a high standard.

About You

We are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and enjoys taking ownership of keeping a busy venue operating at its best.

You will have:

• Electrical trade qualifications and relevant experience.


• Experience in commercial property, facilities, hospitality, clubs or a similar environment.


• Highly desirable licenses and awareness competencies- EWP, confined space, working at heights, first aid & low voltage rescue.


• Strong hands‑on maintenance and troubleshooting skills.


• Experience coordinating maintenance staff, contractors and external trades.


• Good understanding of preventative maintenance and facilities operations.


• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with good attention to detail.


• Ability to manage multiple maintenance requests and prioritise urgent issues.


• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with people across all levels of the business.


• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently.


• Ability to work a Monday to Friday roster, including a half-day Friday, with occasional weekend work and on-call requirements as needed.
