Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. at Wyndham Port Douglas currently has an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join the team. You’ll oversee day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department, including repairs, records, and compliance with budgets and caretaker agreements.

Demonstrated leadership in resort maintenance, knowledge of safety practices, and ability to work a flexible roster are essential. First Aid certification and relevant trade qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience is essential.
• Technical competence in resort property and grounds maintenance.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, building and pool maintenance.
• Strata property management and caretaker agreements are a plus.
• Knowledge of OH&S principles and chemical handling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the Maintenance department.
• Maintain up-to-date records of repairs, contracts and safety paperwork.
• Coordinate property and grounds maintenance across the resort.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
• Adapt to a flexible roster including weekends and holidays.
