Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer for Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. You will oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, ensure rooms and amenities are well cared for, and support preventative maintenance programs.

The role requires managing inventories, equipment care, and grounds maintenance, with weekend shifts and a service-oriented approach to owners and guests.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong understanding of safety principles and chemical handling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the maintenance department.
• Maintain resort rooms and amenities to required standards.
• Manage inventories and care for equipment.
• Run the resort preventative maintenance program and complete related paperwork.

How You’ll Shine

The Maintenance Officer is responsible for the day to day operation of the maintenance department, including maintaining all resort rooms and amenities, maintaining inventories, caring for equipment and performing the resort preventative maintenance program and completing all department related paperwork. This role will also be responsible for maintaining the resort grounds and gardens.

• Previous experience in a similar role desirable (maintenance and grounds/gardens)
• Understanding of basic Occupational Health & Safety principles and chemical handling
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational and problem solving skills

• The ability to work a flexible roster, with weekend shifts
