Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. on the Gold Coast is inviting applications for an experienced hands-on Maintenance Officer to support the day-to-day maintenance of our Surfers Paradise resort. You will tend rooms and amenities, manage inventories and equipment, and ensure the preventative maintenance program runs smoothly.

You’ll also care for resort grounds and gardens, with a flexible roster that includes weekend shifts. Travel + Leisure Co. values ongoing development and a guest‑focused service culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance and grounds/gardens preferred.
• Knowledge of basic Occupational Health & Safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of maintenance department.
• Maintain resort rooms and amenities; manage inventories and equipment.
• Carry out the resort preventative maintenance program and related paperwork.
• Maintain resort grounds and gardens.

How You’ll Shine

The Maintenance Officer is responsible for the day to day operation of the maintenance department, including maintaining all resort rooms and amenities, maintaining inventories, caring for equipment and performing the resort preventative maintenance program and completing all department related paperwork. This role will also be responsible for maintaining the resort grounds and gardens.

To be considered for this great opportunity you will be able to demonstrate the following;

• Previous experience in a similar role desirable (maintenance and grounds/gardens)
• Understanding of basic Occupational Health & Safety principles and chemical handling
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational and problem solving skills
• Interact with owners and guests in a polite and friendly manner
• The ability to work a flexible roster, with weekend shifts
