Job summary

Porta Products in Oberon NSW is seeking a Maintenance Manager for our Oberon Manufacturing facility. This full-time role leads the maintenance team to maximise plant efficiency and minimise downtime.

The role is hands-on, requiring collaboration across production departments and a focus on continuous improvement in performance and processes. The successful applicant will have engineering qualifications and a track record in complex manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical discipline.

• Ability to develop solutions for repetitive failures affecting plant operations.

Responsibilities

Job description

Due to growth in the company Porta Products, Oberon NSW are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our team. The role is on a full-time permanent basis.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at our Oberon Manufacturing facility.

Leading the maintenance team at this large facility, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance operations in order to maximise plant efficiency and reduce machine downtime. This is a hands‑on role, and you will need to build and maintain close working relationships with all production departments and drive your team towards the continuous improvement in performance and processes.

Our Oberon manufacturing facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Maintenance Manager will be required to ensure appropriate support is available at all times for our production operations.

To be considered for this position you will have:

• Demonstrated experience leading a maintenance team
• Demonstrated experience working in a complex manufacturing environment
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in an appropriate engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical)
• Ability to develop solutions for repetitive failures that adversely affect plant operations
• Excellent written, verbal communication and coaching skills
• The ability to build strong relationships across different departments within the company
• Please note that previous experience within a MDF or Manufacturing would be highly regarded
