Job summary

Randstad in NSW is seeking a senior operations leader to drive a multi-million-dollar plant expansion at the Taree facility. You will oversee setup of a major casting line, coordinate mechanical and electrical teams, and ensure on-time delivery of key milestones.

This role focuses on safety, lean practices, and collaboration with internal partners to maintain uptime and efficiency across high-speed production environments.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree or trade credential in mechanical/electrical/industrial field.
• Experience in capital expenditure projects is preferred.
• Strong focus on health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Project Execution & Commissioning: Oversee end-to-end machinery setup, testing, and operational launch for new line installations.
• Operational Alignment: Direct daily maintenance efforts, manage contractor workflows, and collaborate with internal partners to hit key project targets.
• System Reliability: Implement strategic preventative maintenance routines to boost equipment uptime and long-term performance.
• Workflow Management: Direct project timelines, complete regulatory documentation, track milestone metrics, and refine technical processes.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce rigorous safety, quality, and technical standards across all mechanical and electrical operations.

Based at our Taree facility, this leadership position offers a hands-on opportunity to spearhead the setup of a major strategic casting line while optimizing ongoing plant operations.

Skills: Excellent technical troubleshooting, vendor oversight, timeline execution, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
