Job summary

Porta Products in Oberon, NSW, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team and oversee operations at our 24/7 Oberon manufacturing facility. The role is hands-on and requires building strong relationships across departments to drive continuous improvement in performance and processes.

You will be responsible for maximising plant efficiency, reducing machine downtime, and ensuring round-the-clock support for production operations.

Job description

Due to growth in the company Porta Products, Oberon NSW are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our team. The role is on a full-time permanent basis.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at our OberonManufacturing facility.

Leading the maintenance team at this large facility, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance operations in order to maximise plant efficiency and reduce machine downtime. This is a hands‑on role, and you will need to build and maintain close working relationships with all production departments and drive your team towards the continuous improvement in performance and processes.

Our Oberonmanufacturing facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Maintenance Manager will be required to ensure appropriate support is available at all times for our production operations.

To be considered for this position you will have:

Demonstrated experience leading a maintenance team

Demonstrated experience working in a complex manufacturing environment

Relevant tertiary qualifications in an appropriate engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical)

Ability to develop solutions for repetitive failures that adversely affect plant operations.

Excellent written, verbal communication and coaching skills

The ability to build strong relationships across different departments within the company

Please note that previous experience within a MDF or Manufacturing would be highly regarded.
