Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking a Guest Service Generalist to support daily maintenance, front office and Food & Beverage functions, ensuring Owners and Guests receive efficient, friendly service and feel welcome during their stay.

You’ll assist maintenance, handle front desk duties (check-in/out, inquiries, luggage), serve Food & Beverage, and use basic admin tools. A current RSA and Food Safety certificate are preferred, with a flexible roster.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role desirable (maintenance and grounds/gardens).
• Understanding of basic Occupational Health & Safety principles and chemical handling.
• Experience in Food & Beverage, café, bar or hotel environment is desirable.
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate and Food Safety Certificate.

Responsibilities

• The Guest Service Generalist completes daily Maintenance, Front Office & Food & Beverage functions and ensures owners/guests receive efficient, courteous service.
• Assist maintenance tasks: rooms/grounds, inventories, equipment care, reporting faults and assisting guests.
• Perform front desk duties: check-in/check-out, inquiries, luggage handling, bookings and night audit procedures.
• Operate basic admin equipment: email, Word & Excel, and credit card settlement machines.

How You'll Shine

The Guest Service Generalist is responsible for completing daily Maintenance, Front Office & Food & Beverage functions. Ensuring that all Owners and Guests receive efficient and courteous service; making them feel welcome during their entire stay through a proactive and positive attitude. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• The successful candidate will assist our maintenance department and with maintenance of rooms/grounds, maintaining inventories, caring for equipment and completing resort preventative maintenace, inspection & reporting of faults, reporting all maintenance issues as required and assisting guests when required.
• Food & Beverage functions such as preparing and serving Food & Beverages
• Perform duties of the front desk, including greeting owners and guests, Check in and out, Answer telephone and email inquiries, portage of luggage, cash handling and balancing procedures, tour & travel inquiries/bookings, reservations and night audit procedures
• Possess a thorough knowledge of the operation of all administration equipment eg. Email, basic word & excel documentation and Credit Card settlement machines.

What You'll Bring

• Previous experience in a similar role desirable (maintenance and grounds/gardens)
• Understanding of basic Occupational Health & Safety principles and chemical handling
• Previous experience in a food and beverage, café, bar or hotel environment is desirable
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
• Current Food Safety Certificate
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and positive individual
• Immaculate presentation and professional grooming standards
• Ability to work a flexible roster, including weekends, morning, evenings and school holiday period across a 7-day roster
• Current drivers licence (preferable)
