BlueCare is seeking a Maintenance and Grounds Officer to support day-to-day upkeep of buildings, gardens and grounds at Wynnum, with regular travel to other BlueCare sites across Queensland.

You will carry out preventative and corrective maintenance, assist contractors, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff. The role suits hands-on individuals with WHS awareness and IT proficiency.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience and/or a certificate in maintenance, grounds keeping, horticulture or a related area.
• Experience maintaining buildings, plant, equipment, gardens or grounds.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Strong customer focus with good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage work schedules and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in IT systems.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence - Essential.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain - Essential.
• Confidence to satisfy probity checks required by legislation or policies.

Responsabilités

• Undertaking general maintenance and minor repairs to buildings, plant and equipment.
• Maintaining gardens and grounds, including planting, pruning and lawn care.
• Supporting preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
• Identifying and reporting maintenance issues, safety hazards and required improvements.
• Supporting contractors onsite, including site inductions and WHS requirements.
• Providing maintenance and grounds support across other regional BlueCare sites when required.
