Job summary

BlueCare Wynnum West is seeking a Maintenance and Grounds Officer to support day‑to‑day upkeep of buildings, equipment, gardens and grounds across BlueCare sites in Queensland. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance and assist contractors while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

The role requires relevant experience or a maintenance/grounds certificate, a current Australian driver’s licence, and WHS/compliance checks.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience and/or a certificate in maintenance, grounds keeping, horticulture or related area.
• Experience maintaining buildings, plant, equipment, gardens or grounds.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence – Essential
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain - Essential

Responsibilities

• Undertaking general maintenance and minor repairs to buildings, plant and equipment.
• Maintaining gardens and grounds, including planting, pruning and lawn care.
• Supporting preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
• Identifying and reporting maintenance issues, safety hazards and required improvements.
• Supporting contractors onsite, including site inductions and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Providing maintenance and grounds support across other regional BlueCare sites when required
