Job summary

Stanmore Resources is seeking a Field Maintenance Execution Leading Hand to manage and safely execute maintenance for our primary dig units at Poitrel Mine. This permanent role operates on a 7 days on/7 days off, dayshift roster, and requires leading a maintenance team and coordinating with planners, schedulers, and partners.

Your background in similar roles, strong safety culture, and exceptional communication skills will help you deliver optimal production outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CAT 6060/6040 excavators and CAT 994 loaders, and Hitachi 5600/3600 excavators.
• Proven experience leading a maintenance team in a frontline or supervisory role.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and people management skills.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities with time management.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing work environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe compliance with standards and procedures to optimise outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance of people, processes and systems.
• Improve fleet performance through quality maintenance practices.
• Execute the maintenance plan.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance team to define scope, isolation and activities.
• Coordinate with Planners & Schedulers to update schedules as needed.
• Coordinate with contracting partners as required and step up into supervision when needed.

This is a permanent opportunity, based at Poitrel Mine on a 7 day's on 7 days off (7&7) dayshift only roster. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing safe compliance with operating standards, procedures, work instructions & defined processes to achieve optimal outcomes.
• identifying opportunities to improve the performance of people, processes and systems
• Improving fleet performance through quality maintenance practices
• Executing the maintenance plan
• Liaising with the wider Maintenance team to develop, validate and challenge the scope of work, including preparation requirements, isolation requirements and maintenance activities
• Liaising with the Planners & Schedulers to ensure schedule is updated during execution to reflect performance against plan
• Liaising with contracting partners for various activities
• Step up into the supervisor role when required

Your background in a similar position or environment together with your exceptional communication skills will see you well placed to excel in this role. It is also essential that you demonstrate impeccable safety behavior as well as:

• Previous experience with CAT 6060 & 6040 excavators as well as CAT 994 Loaders & Hitachi 5600 & 3600 excavators
• Demonstrated experience in leading a maintenance team in a frontline leading hand / supervisory capacity.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal and people management skills.
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills including time management.
• Flexible / adaptable work style to be able to work within changing environments and work requirements
