Job summary

Compas Pty Ltd in Canberra is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Engineer to design, deliver and support secure M365 solutions across hybrid and cloud environments. You will provide technical leadership across M365 technologies, drive automation initiatives and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.

The role involves attending the Canberra office 3 days per week, with potential travel to state offices as required.

Microsoft 365 Engineer | M365 Cloud & Hybrid Transformation

Join a major ICT transition program as an experienced Microsoft 365 Engineer, designing, delivering and supporting secure M365 solutions across hybrid and cloud-only environments. You’ll provide technical leadership across Microsoft 365 technologies, contribute to automation initiatives and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality enterprise solutions.

Contract Duration: 12 months + 2 possible 12-month extensions

Security Clearance Requirement: Current Baseline clearance required

ACT-based candidates will be required to attend the Canberra office 3 days per week. Candidates outside the ACT may be required to attend a state office or regional hub and travel to Canberra as required.

Essential Tasks

• Design, implement, deliver and support secure M365 solutions across hybrid and cloud-only environments.
• Lead technical and strategic discussions around M365 products, features and complex deployments.
• Automate and implement solutions using Infrastructure as Code.
• Develop Detailed Designs, High Level Designs, As-Built-As-Configured documentation and operating procedures.

Key Criteria

• Strong experience delivering M365 solutions within Government or other large organisations.
• Experience across M365 technologies including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Purview, Exchange and Endpoint Manager.
• Proven experience producing technical designs, operational documentation and procedures.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
