Job summary

InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort is seeking a Wedding Sales & Events Executive to lead end-to-end planning for weddings and special occasions. You will host tours, consult with couples, and coordinate timelines, menus, and suppliers to bring each celebration to life.

Reporting to the Conference & Events Manager, you’ll manage on-site and off-site wedding marketing events, create tailored orders, and ensure flawless delivery with the banquet team. Weekend/evening work required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in event coordination or wedding planning.
• Outstanding attention to detail and time management skills.
• Warm, professional communication style with rapport-building abilities.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and juggle multiple events.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
• Impeccable personal presentation and proactive, team-oriented mindset.
• Understanding of OH&S policies and ability to ensure safe practices across all touchpoints.
• A full, unrestricted driver’s licence is essential.
• Unlimited working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end planning and coordination of weddings and special occasions at the Resort.
• Host venue tours and planning consultations with engaged couples and event organisers.
• Represent the property at on-site and off-site wedding marketing events and expos.
• Create tailored event orders and manage related documentation.
• Coordinate timelines, menus, floorplans, and liaise with suppliers to meet guest requirements.
• Run pre-event briefings and daily team debriefs to ensure flawless delivery with banquet operations.
• Be present on the day to support and oversee the event, including weekends/evenings.
• Conduct post-event follow-ups, gather feedback, and contribute ideas to improve experiences.
