Job summary

Capella Sydney is seeking a passionate Sommelier with wine service expertise to deliver an exceptional guest experience in a luxury setting.

You will advise guests on wine selections and pairings, manage the wine and beverage list, and train colleagues to uphold Capella Sydney's high standards. The role requires RSA NSW certification and experience in premium hospitality environments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor in Hospitality Management (advantage).
• Advanced Sommelier certification preferred (e.g., WSET Advanced).
• Experience in luxury hotels/resorts or renowned venues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• RSA NSW certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide wine suggestions and food-wine pairings to enhance dining experience.
• Manage and curate wine and beverage list in line with brand and budget.
• Train colleagues on wine service and knowledge.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain inventory, storage, and quality controls for wines and related beverages.
• Handle guest feedback and ensure timely resolution to uphold service standards.
