Job summary

The Royal Sydney Golf Club is seeking a passionate Sommelier to elevate our wine and beverage offering. Reporting to the Head of Food & Beverage, you will own wine operations and deliver a memorable experience for members and guests.

The role primarily works in the dining room from Tuesday to Saturday, with flexibility for events or special occasions. A strong wine background and hospitality mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Sommelier experience in hospitality (hotel or fine dining preferred).
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Passion for wine and hospitality with a modern dining mindset.

Responsibilities

• Partner with F&B team to craft wine pairings showcasing each wine.
• Support dining experience and beverage operations with Executive Chef and Head of F&B.
• Lead wine events and manage the wine program and wine menu (including vintages).
• Train and mentor staff to build wine knowledge.
• Manage stock, ordering, and supplier relationships.
