Job summary

Shangri-La the Marina, Cairns is seeking a professional and reliable Night Auditor to join our Front Office team. Working overnight, you will ensure the smooth operation of the hotel overnight while completing essential financial and audit processes with a focus on exceptional guest service.

You will be the main night point of contact, balancing Front Office and Food & Beverage transactions, posting charges and preparing daily reports.

Responsibilities

• Providing warm, professional and personalised service to guests throughout the night.
• Completing the daily night audit process and ensuring all hotel transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
• Reviewing and balancing Front Office and Food & Beverage transactions.
• Ensuring all charges, payments and adjustments are accurately posted and accounted for.
• Preparing and distributing relevant daily reports.
• Monitoring hotel operations overnight and responding appropriately to guest requests and operational matters.
• Handling guest check-ins, check-outs and other Front Office requirements during the night.
• Managing guest enquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintaining appropriate security and safety awareness throughout the overnight shift.
• Communicating relevant operational matters and outstanding issues to the appropriate departments and management team.
• Ensuring all Front Office procedures, financial controls and hotel standards are followed.
• Completing handover information for the morning team to ensure continuity of operations.
• Performing other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the hotel.
