Westgold Resources is seeking experienced Long Hole Drillers to join our underground operations in Western Australia. You will operate Sandvik 432i Solo, Boom and Horseshoe rigs to drill production blast holes and support charging and blasting.

As part of the production mining team, you will report to the Shift Supervisor and work across multiple sites. A minimum of 5 years underground mining experience and a C Class Manual license are required, with prior Loader and Development Charge Up

• Proven experience operating SANDVIK 432i Solo, Boom and Horseshoe rigs
• Minimum of 5 years underground mining experience
• Must have previous experience as a Loader Operator and Development Charge Up Operator
• C Class Manual license

About the opportunity

Westgold are ramping up and therefore bringing in new Longhole rigs to most of our sites. We are sourcing highly experienced Longhole drillers who can operator Sandvik boom rigs and the odd horseshoe. Various sites an d rosters are on offer along with a competitive rate + allowances + bonus.

The role includes

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Long Hole Driller will be a part of the production mining team, responsible for drilling production blast holes, prior to charging and blasting operations. Drillers also carry out other related duties as directed by the Mine Supervisor.

• Ability to Drill and bolt inclines, declines and ore drives.
• Able to set up and operate long hole drill to produce a designated pattern of blasting holes.
• Diagnose and take appropriate action to manage drill problems and advise appropriate personnel.
• Remove drill cuttings and sludge to ensure drill hole remains clean.
