Job summary

Nolan's Interstate Transport is seeking a Logistics Planner to join our day shift in Gatton. You will coordinate the refrigerated fleet, plan freight and rosters, and ensure on-time delivery with a focus on safety and customer service.

Key tasks include coordinating daily transport activities, maximizing fleet utilisation, supervising drivers, and maintaining chain of responsibility compliance in a fast-paced environment. A current forklift license and a transport background are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a transport environment, ideally in a logistics operational role.
• Understanding of Fatigue Management, Mass Management, Quality Assurance and Chain of Responsibility.
• Operations Schedulers Certification TLIF0006 or equivalent highly regarded or willing to obtain.
• Understanding of warehousing operations.
• Sound Microsoft Office skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Planning and allocating freight to maximise fleet utilisation while maintaining safety and compliance.
• Coordinating daily transport activities with customers and drivers.
• Monitoring and managing driver compliance with Standard Hours, BFM and AFM requirements.
• Responding to operational changes and customer priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Planning and rostering to meet operational requirements.
• Supervising and supporting drivers and operational staff.
• Ensuring compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), Fatigue Management and Company procedures.

About the Role

As a Logistics Planner in our operations team, you will play a key role in coordinating our refrigerated fleet, ensuring freight is delivered safely, effectively and on time while providing exceptional services to our customers.

Roster: Permanent Full Time roster working 10 days on / 4 days off with every second Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday off. Hours of work from 6am to approximately 4pm or finish

You will be responsibilities will include:

Pre-requisites

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a transport environment, ideally in a logistics operational role
• Proven understanding of Fatigue Management, Mass Management, Quality Assurance and Chain of Responsibility
• Operations Schedulers Certification TLIF0006 or equivalent highly regarded or be willing to obtain
• Understanding of warehousing operations
• Sound Microsoft Office skills and attention to detail
• Previous (FMCG) logistics experience with refrigerated freight, fresh produce and palletised freight will be highly regarded
• High Risk Forklift Licence
• Current Drivers Licence
