Job summary

Metcash is seeking a Logistics Administration Manager to lead the administration team at Gepps Cross, SA within the Food & ALM Logistics network. You will drive payroll, inventory, procurement, and performance improvements across SA and Darwin ALM operations.

This role collaborates with operations, finance, HR and customer service to deliver excellent outcomes while fostering a high-performing, customer-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and developing administration or operational support teams.
• Strong payroll process knowledge for many staff.
• Experience in warehouse, logistics, or FMCG environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Able to drive process improvement and efficiencies.
• Understanding of budgeting and financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Logistics Coordinators with coaching and development.
• Ensure payroll for ~300 site-based team members is accurate and timely.
• Manage site pallet and crate inventory and stocktakes.
• Oversee non-trade procurement, freight invoicing, and expenses.
• Handle customer claims investigations and maintain service levels.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships across logistics, operations, finance, HR and customer service.
• Drive process improvements and best practices in administration.
• Support leaders with admin and reporting requirements.
• Foster team engagement, change management, and positive site culture.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, WHS, and policies.
