Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking a full-time MC driver at our Berrinba QLD site. You will move trucks and trailers locally, operate the vehicle safely, and complete trip documentation as part of CEVA's standards.

The role requires an MC licence, a good driving record, and the ability to comply with COR and load restraint rules. Medical and police checks may be required, with benefits including wellbeing and family support.

Qualifications

• Experience in local and shuttle freight driving.

• Good understanding of COR including mass management, maintenance and load restraint.

Responsibilities

• Move trucks and trailers in local sites following standard procedures.
• Pick up trailers from local sites.
• Operate vehicles safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements and CEVA policies.
• Ensure safe handling and restraint of freight with depot teams.
• Complete trip documentation such as pre-starts, work diaries, delivery dockets and timesheets.
• Observe and report any on-road incidents or mechanical issues promptly.

YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a full-time, permanent MC driver to join our team at our Berrinba QLD, site.

This position is offered at $42.1118 per hour + 14.5% super, under the CEVA Logistics & Transport Workers Union National Enterprise Agreement. Full EA details can be found at fwc.gov.au.

Reporting to the Transport Operations Manager, you’ll help ensure that our day-to-day trucks & trailers movement on/offsite (yard tug operations) are completed within CEVA standards.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Specifically, you will:

• Move trucks and trailers in local sites with standard procedures
• Picking up trailers from local sites
• Operate the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner whilst complying with regulatory requirements and CEVA policies
• Ensure the safe handling & restraint of freight at all locations in conjunction with depot-based teams.
• Complete documentation relating to trips, such as pre-starts, work diary, delivery dockets and timesheets.
• Observe & report any on road incidents, equipment issues or mechanical failures immediately in accordance with the required process.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate has experience in local and shuttle freight driving and a current MC driver licence together with:

• Reliable with a good work ethic and positive can-do attitude
• Evidence of a good driving record
• Good understanding of COR including mass management, maintenance and load restraint
• Good verbal/written communication skills and attention to detail.
• In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
