Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking an Operations Manager for our Orchard Hills NSW site. You will lead daily warehouse operations across multiple customer contracts, ensuring safety, efficiency and high performance while guiding supervisors and frontline teams.

You will manage labour planning, KPI-driven performance, budget control, and contribute to the contract P&L, with a strong focus on inventory accuracy and continuous improvement in a fast-paced contract logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Vocational or tertiary qualification in logistics and supply chain, warehousing or operations management.
• Significant experience leading warehouse operations and large frontline operational teams.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control and operational best practice.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing operational budgets and contributing to contract P&L outcomes.
• Applied understanding of Enterprise Agreements and/or Awards when managing operational workforces.
• Experience in customer-driven logistics environments, ideally in a 3PL/contract logistics setting.

YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Site Manager and based at our Orchard Hills NSW facility, the Operations Manager leads warehouse operations across a multi-customer contract environment within our Contract Logistics division.

You’ll oversee daily operations while leading a team of supervisors, inventory controllers, administrators and a large warehouse workforce of storepersons, ensuring safe, efficient and high-performing outcomes across the site.

The role is responsible for delivering strong service and operational results while contributing to the contract P&L through effective budget management, cost control and operational efficiency.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Specifically, you will:

• Lead daily warehouse operations across multiple customer contracts to deliver safe, efficient and high-performing outcomes.
• Provide leadership and direction to supervisors, inventory controllers, administrators and warehouse storepersons.
• Plan and manage labour, resources and operational priorities to meet customer service and contractual requirements.
• Drive operational performance through KPI management, reporting and structured performance reviews.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and act as the escalation point for operational issues and service exceptions.
• Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy through effective cycle counting, stock management and process discipline.
• Lead safety initiatives including incident investigations, risk assessments, toolbox talks and compliance with operational procedures
• Promote lean thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to the contract P&L through effective budget management, cost control and optimisation of operational resources.
• Maintain effective use of warehouse systems and operational reporting tools to support visibility and decision making.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The ideal candidate is an experienced logistics and supply chain leader with proven success managing warehouse operations and delivering strong people, safety, customer and commercial outcomes. You’ll also have:

• Vocational or tertiary qualification in logistics and supply chain, warehousing or operations management.
• Significant experience leading warehouse operations and large frontline operational teams.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control and operational best practice.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing operational budgets and contributing to contract P&L outcomes.
• Applied understanding of Enterprise Agreements and/or Awards when managing operational workforces.
• Experience operating within a customer-driven logistics environment, ideally within a 3PL or contract logistics setting.
