Lindsay Australia in Adelaide is seeking a Local HC Driver to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. The role keeps you behind the wheel but ensures you’re home each night, with a friendly, safety-first depot culture.

You’ll operate modern, well-maintained equipment, earn weekly wages with superannuation, and access overtime, annual leave loading and other benefits. Applicants with HC licence and local driving experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Current HC licence holder with proven local or metro driving experience.
• Experience with refrigerated or temperature-sensitive freight is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Support local work and container collection from rail facilities.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and promote a safety culture.
• Handle temperature-sensitive freight safely and timely.

• Coordinate loading, unloading with depot teams.
• Complete pre-start checks and deliver paperwork.

Local Driver - HC (HR for the right fit)

Location: Adelaide

Hourly Rate: $30.93

Roster: Monday to Friday Day Shift + Occasional Weekend shift availability.

Our Adelaide depot is looking for a Local HC Drivers to join the team, offering a permanent full-time position. This role is ideally suited to an experienced HC Driver that still wants to be behind the wheel but also wishes to be home each night. A key role keeping our depot moving.

What You’ll Do

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Support Local work and collection of containers from the Rail. Safe Always – Demonstrating safe work practices, leading by example and promoting a safe work culture. Temperature Sensitive Freight – working with and understanding temperature sensitive freight, ensuring the safe and timely handling. Customer Service – Interacting with customers in a professional manner. Teamwork & Communication – Working closely with depot teams for the loading, unloading and transportation of freight. Good Work Ethic – Reliable, supportive and the ability to have a go! Quality Checks & Control – Completing relevant pre-start checklists, safety documentation and delivery of paperwork.

What You’ll Bring:

• Current HC licence
• Proven commercial driving experience (local or metro delivery experience is a bonus)
• Refrigerated or cold-chain experience is helpful, but not essential
• A safe driving record (current driving history report required)
• A strong focus on safety and doing the job properly
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, on time and take pride in your vehicle and your work
