Job summary

Lindsay Australia is expanding in North Queensland and seeking an experienced HC driver to join from day one. You will operate a heavy vehicle for daily pick-up and delivery, loading and unloading freight, and maintaining safety and service standards across a growing network.

Qualifications

• Current Heavy Combination (HC) Licence.
• Demonstrated experience in pick-up and delivery or general freight operations.
• Safe driving record and commitment to safety and compliance.
• Sound knowledge of fatigue management requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HC vehicle to complete daily pick-up and delivery runs.
• Deliver freight on time and without damage.
• Load, unload and secure freight.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Follow road transport legislation and company procedures.
• Complete delivery documentation and electronic records.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Maintain a clean and roadworthy vehicle.
• Work with the operations team to deliver excellent service.

What’s The Role:

What You’ll Bring:

• Current Heavy Combination (HC) Licence
• Demonstrated experience in pick-up and delivery or general freight operations
• Safe driving record and strong commitment to safety and compliance
• Sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and fatigue management requirements
• Ability to safely load, unload and secure freight
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Confidence using electronic proof of delivery and transport system
• A reliable, professional attitude with a strong work ethic
• Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
