You’ll operate HC vehicles, load and unload freight, complete inspections, and maintain professional customer interactions as part of a safety‑first team delivering excellent service across 39 stores.

Qualifications

• Current Heavy Vehicle HC licence is required.
• Experience in pick-up and delivery or general freight operations.
• Safe driving record and commitment to safety.
• Knowledge of CoR and fatigue management requirements.
• Ability to load, unload and secure freight safely.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Confidence using electronic proof of delivery and transport system.
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
• Forklift licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HC vehicle to complete daily pick-up and delivery runs.
• Deliver freight on time and without damage.
• Load, unload and secure freight.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Follow road transport legislation, fatigue management and company procedures.
• Complete delivery documentation and electronic records.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Maintain a clean and roadworthy vehicle.
• Work with the operations team to deliver excellent service.

What’s The Role:

What You’ll Bring:

• Current Heavy Combination (HC) Licence
• Demonstrated experience in pick-up and delivery or general freight operations
• Safe driving record and strong commitment to safety and compliance
• Sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and fatigue management requirements
• Ability to safely load, unload and secure freight
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Confidence using electronic proof of delivery and transport system
• A reliable, professional attitude with a strong work ethic
• Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)

As part of the recruitment process, we’ll be running Assessment Days that include a face-to-face interview and safety assessments. If successful, you’ll also need to complete a pre-employment medical, including a functional capacity assessment, drug and alcohol screen, and audio review.
