Job summary

Lindsay Australia in Adelaide is seeking Local HC/MC drivers for casual roles with HR considered for the right fit. Availability is Mon–Fri with potential for consistent 4 days per week, based on demand and schedule, offering weekly wages and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Current HR/HC/MC licence required.
• Proven commercial driving experience is a bonus.
• Refrigerated or cold-chain experience is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Local work and collection of containers from the Rail, ensuring safe work practices.
• Handle temperature sensitive freight and ensure safe, timely delivery.
• Interact with customers professionally and provide good service.
• Work closely with depot teams for loading, unloading and transport of freight.
• Demonstrate a reliable work ethic and teamwork.
• Complete safety checklists and relevant paperwork.

Local Driver - MC & HC Drivers (HR for the right fit) Location: Adelaide Classification: Casual Hourly Rates: Rigid $38.65 per hour Single: $38.65 per hour B - Double: $40.39 per hour Our Adelaide depot is looking for a Local HC/B-Double Drivers to join the team, offering a casual position. Availability: We are looking for people available in the space of Mon - Friday. We some new exciting work that is commencing we can offer consistent 4 days per week.

What You’ll Do

• Support Local work and collection of containers from the Rail. Safe Always – Demonstrating safe work practices, leading by example and promoting a safe work culture.
• Temperature Sensitive Freight – working with and understanding temperature sensitive freight, ensuring the safe and timely handling.
• Customer Service – Interacting with customers in a professional manner.
• Teamwork & Communication – Working closely with depot teams for the loading, unloading and transportation of freight.
• Good Work Ethic – Reliable, supportive and the ability to have a go!
• Quality Checks & Control – Completing relevant pre-start checklists, safety documentation and delivery of paperwork.

What You’ll Bring:

• Current HR/HC/MC licence
• Proven commercial driving experience (local or metro delivery experience is a bonus)
• Refrigerated or cold-chain experience is helpful, but not essential
• A safe driving record (current driving history report required)
• A strong focus on safety and doing the job properly
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, on time and take pride in your vehicle and your work
