Job summary

Lindsay Australia in Mildura is seeking Local HC Drivers for casual, ongoing roles. You will handle temperature-sensitive freight, interact with customers professionally, and coordinate with depot teams for loading and deliveries. The role includes occasional warehouse duties when not driving.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current HC licence.
• Forklift license required.
• Proven commercial driving experience.
• Refrigerated or cold-chain experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and manage temperature-sensitive freight.
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries.
• Coordinate with depot teams for loading/unloading.
• Maintain a strong work ethic and reliability.
• Complete pre-start checks and safety paperwork.
• Perform warehouse duties when not driving.

What You’ll Do

• Safe Always – Demonstrating safe work practices, leading by example and promoting a safe work culture.
• Temperature Sensitive Freight – working with and understanding temperature sensitive freight, ensuring the safe and timely handling.
• Customer Service – Interacting with customers in a professional manner.
• Teamwork & Communication – Working closely with depot teams for the loading, unloading and transportation of freight.
• Good Work Ethic – Reliable, supportive and the ability to have a go!
• Quality Checks & Control – Completing relevant pre-start checklists, safety documentation and delivery of paperwork.

During Off Peak Season and as required

• Warehouse and forklift duties when driving duties are not required.
• Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Assisting with stocktakes and inventory management
• General day-to-day branch duties and warehouse work
• Helping customers and supporting the team as needed

What You’ll Bring

• Current HC licence
• Forklift License
• Proven commercial driving experience
• Refrigerated or cold-chain experience is helpful, but not essential
• A safe driving record (current driving history report required)
• A strong focus on safety and doing the job properly
• Good communication and customer service skills
