Got the urge to make a whole neighborhood hungry?
At Burger Urge, we don’t just flip burgers, we make people crave them. Now we’re looking for a Local Area Marketing & Retail Coordinator to take our big national campaigns and make them land street by street, center by center, restaurant by restaurant.
You’ll be the driving force behind Local Area Marketing at Burger Urge, working closely with our Franchise Partners, Restaurant Managers, and Support Office team to increase local awareness, drive restaurant traffic, and grow sales.
Reporting to the National Marketing Manager, you’ll turn national campaigns into local success stories while identifying new opportunities to help each restaurant thrive.
Make local marketing happen. Plan and execute local campaigns, tactical promotions, community partnerships, sponsorships, sampling activities, Block Parties, and new restaurant openings.
Be the LAM champion. Act as the main marketing contact for our restaurants, helping Franchise Partners and Restaurant Managers turn opportunities into action.
Drive restaurant performance. Use sales data, customer insights and local market trends to identify opportunities to increase traffic, transactions and revenue.
Bring campaigns to life. Coordinate retail collateral, promotional materials and in‑restaurant activations, ensuring everything is delivered on time, on brand and actually gets used.
Build local connections. Develop relationships with shopping centres, schools, gyms, sporting clubs, local businesses and community organisations.
Get out there. Visit restaurants, explore their local trade areas, identify opportunities and ensure campaigns are executed to a high standard.
Own the process. Manage LAM requests, timelines, suppliers and production through ClickUp, from initial brief to final delivery.
Measure what matters. Track campaign performance, spending and return on investment, share learnings and scale successful initiatives across the network.
Have experience in Local Area Marketing, retail marketing, hospitality, QSR, events or a multi‑site environment.
Have a commercial mindset and understand that great marketing should drive real business results.
Love building relationships and can confidently work with franchisees, restaurant teams, suppliers and community partners.
Are highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Have an eye for detail and know how to turn creative ideas into practical, well‑executed campaigns.
Are confident working with data and can translate insights into clear actions.
Enjoy taking ownership, solving problems and getting things done without needing someone to chase you.
Are happy to spend time both in the office and out visiting restaurants and local communities.
Hold a current driver’s licence (essential). Access to your own vehicle is highly desirable.
Experience is great, but attitude matters just as much. We’re looking for someone with initiative, energy and the drive to make things happen.
You’ll work alongside our wider Marketing team, who manage national brand strategy, paid media, social media, CRM, loyalty and digital channels.
Your mission is to own the local execution: making sure our campaigns come to life in restaurants and communities, and that our local marketing investment delivers measurable results.
We take our burgers seriously. Ourselves? Not so much.
We’re a growing Australian brand with big ambitions, plenty of personality and a team that genuinely loves what we do.
If you’re ready to take ownership, think creatively, and help make Burger Urge the local favourite in every community we serve, we want to hear from you!
Let’s make some noise. Let’s make people hungry. Let’s make it happen.
Burger Urge is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and are committed to an inclusive recruitment process.
