Kingfisher Bay Resort on K&gari (Fraser Island) invites a motivated Commis Chef to join our iconic island kitchen. You’ll work across our restaurants, bars and event spaces, learning from experienced chefs while delivering quality dishes to guests from around the world.

This full-time, live-on-island role offers hands-on training, a supportive team, and staff benefits including discounted accommodation, meals and tours.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Food safety certification (RSA) desirable.
• Experience in a resort, hotel or large kitchen.
• Strong organisation and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals to menu and recipe standards.
• Assist with food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
• Support stock management and kitchen organisation.
• Work closely with chefs and service teams.
