Job summary

Victoria Government Solicitor's Office (VGSO) invites applications for Paralegals to support our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Branch. You will work on complex matters involving public interest, under experienced solicitors, gaining exposure to government clients.

The role offers a hybrid work model and opportunities to develop skills across civil and regulatory cases while contributing to high-profile work within the Victorian public sector.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working as a Paralegal.
• Demonstrated ability to perform high quality legal research.
• Experience with document management / discovery is highly desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and consistent high standards of work.
• Superior time management and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with court preparation, including large-scale and complex document reviews for discovery.
• Conducting legal research and analysis.
• Drafting chronologies, transcriptions and other litigation-related documents.
• Liaising with paralegals, solicitors, and internal stakeholders to support progression of matters.
• Providing legal support and undertaking administrative duties as required.
