The Victorian Government Solicitor's Office (VGSO) in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Solicitor to deliver legal services to government clients, lead civil and complex matters, and provide high-quality advice across a broad range of disputes. The role offers a supportive LDR team and professional development opportunities.

Formación

• 4+ years practising experience in civil litigation or related fields.
• Experience in complex and sensitive litigation in state courts and tribunals.
• Experience providing written and oral legal advice fit for purpose.
• Experience acting for government or statutory authorities and/or insurers is highly regarded.
• Experience in personal injury/civil litigation is desirable but not essential.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to connect with team members and clients.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and research skills with a client-focused approach.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct civil litigation and prepare advices (with supervision).
• Manage a diverse caseload (with supervision).
• Collaborate with solicitors and paralegals on complex matters.
• Contribute to practice development within the LDR branch.
