Job summary

Apollo Care Alliance is seeking a compassionate Lifestyle Officer for PresCare Alexandra Gardens in Queensland. This part‑time role involves designing and delivering meaningful activities, tailoring programs to residents' interests within a person‑centred care approach.

You'll work with the Lifestyle Team to create a warm, inclusive environment, maintain care records, and ensure alignment with Aged Care Quality Standards while supporting residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Minimum one‑year of experience as a lifestyle officer in aged care.
• Certificate III in Aged Care or Cert IV in Leisure & Lifestyle/Diversional Therapy is highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• NDIS Worker Clearance (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement individual and group leisure activities for residents.
• Develop and maintain personalised lifestyle care plans.
• Engage with residents and families to foster belonging and inclusion.
• Collaborate with the Lifestyle Team to support holistic well‑being.
• Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Maintain secure and accurate care records.

The Role

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Lifestyle Officer to join our team. If you are passionate about a person‑centred approach to care, this is your opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents.

This is a part‑time opportunity, offering 40 - 60 hours per fortnight.

As a Lifestyle Officer, you will be at the heart of creating joy and connection, designing and delivering meaningful activities that bring smiles, laughter, and a sense of community. Every day is unique, allowing you to tailor programs to individual interests and care plans, while fostering a warm, inclusive environment that reflects Apollo Care's commitment to holistic, resident‑centred care.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individual and group leisure activities that cater to residents' needs, abilities, and interests
• Develop and maintain personalized lifestyle care plans
• Engage with residents and their families to create a sense of belonging and inclusion
• Collaborate with the Lifestyle Team and care staff to support the holistic well‑being of residents
• Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards
• Maintain secure and accurate care records

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum one‑year of experience as a lifestyle officer in the aged care setting
• Certificate III in Aged Care or Cert IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or Diversional Therapy Qualification (highly desirable)
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Currently hold an NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain)
