Blacktown City Council is seeking a Library IT Officer to support library systems, devices and digital services across our network. You’ll install, test and maintain hardware/software, provide on-site troubleshooting, and work with the Digital Services team to ensure reliable technology for staff and patrons.

Help shape the technology that keeps Blacktown City's libraries connected. As a Library IT Officer, you support the systems, devices and digital services that staff and customers use every day across our library network. From public computers and self-service technology to software, peripherals and Wi‑Fi, you help ensure technology is available, reliable and easy to use.
You provide hands‑on technical support, install and test hardware and software, troubleshoot issues, maintain documentation, and work with vendors and Council's Digital Services team to resolve problems. You also deliver technology training, support system upgrades and contribute ideas that improve library services and the customer experience.
Your work directly supports people accessing information, learning new skills, using digital services and staying connected with their community. By keeping library technology running smoothly, you help create welcoming and accessible spaces where residents can learn, create and participate in community life.
