Job summary

Blacktown City Council is seeking a Library IT Officer to support library systems, devices and digital services across the network. You will install and test hardware and software, troubleshoot issues, maintain documentation and work with the Digital Services team to resolve problems.

You will also deliver technology training, support upgrades and contribute ideas to improve library services and the customer experience for staff and residents.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting library IT systems and user-facing services.
• Ability to install, configure and test hardware and software in a public library network.
• Strong problem-solving skills and customer-focused service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support across library devices and digital services.
• Install and test hardware/software, diagnose issues and document resolutions.
• Collaborate with Digital Services team and vendors to resolve problems.
• Deliver technology training and support system upgrades.
• Suggest improvements to enhance customer experience and service quality.
