Job summary

City of Wagga Wagga is seeking a friendly Library Services Assistant to deliver high-quality customer service, support learning, and help connect our community with books and digital resources.

You will handle circulation, memberships, shelving, assist with technology and information needs, promote digital collections, and support inter-library loans as part of a committed team.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of a wide range of literary genres, current authors, and age-related reading materials.

What We Will Offer You
  • Permanent, part-time position.
  • Twenty-eight (28) hours per week to be worked Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Remuneration of $2,007.44 minimum gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $2,408.93 gross per fortnight + 12% superannuation based on part-time hours of work.
  • Generous leave entitlements, including access to Council's Flexible Working Hours Agreement and MyLeave.
  • Please note: Rates of pay for all Council employees aged between 15-18 years of age are paid in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023, Clause 32. Junior and Trainee Employment. For further information, please see Council's Junior Rates of Pay Fact Sheet.
Your New Role

This position is responsible for ensuring the provision of quality customer service to Library clients and assisting in the delivery of library programs to identified client groups.
