Job summary

The City of Sydney Library network is seeking experienced Librarians to join on a casual basis, with opportunities to work across 9 branches. As a Casual Librarian, you will provide professional library services, assist customers with access to collections and digital resources, and support programs and community initiatives.

Availability may include evenings and weekends. This role offers flexible casual shifts within a large metropolitan public library network, with $49.79 per hour plus super

Qualifications

• A recognised qualification in Library and Information Science or a related discipline.
• Previous experience working as a Librarian, ideally within a public library environment.
• Strong research, reference and information service skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Confidence working with library systems, databases and digital resources.
• The ability to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
• Flexibility to work across the City of Sydney's 9 library branches.
• Availability for casual shifts, which may include evenings and weekends.
