Job summary

Wyndham City Council is seeking a Leisure Facilities Officer to manage and operate Council’s recreation facilities, including contracts and performance against standards. You will collaborate with contractors, facility managers and Recreation staff to ensure facilities are well maintained and safe for the community.

You will coordinate project and contract management, contribute to service planning and prepare briefs and tender documentation, while supporting budget development, funding

Qualifications

• Experience in contract management and project coordination within recreation, leisure or community infrastructure.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with diverse groups.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, including reviewing performance data and budgets.
• Experience preparing briefs, tender docs and reports for decision-making.
• Current drivers licence required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer projects and contracts for leisure assets across their lifecycle.
• Coordinate service planning with Recreation staff, customers and stakeholders.
• Oversee contracts for aquatic centres, outdoor pools, stadiums and other facilities.
• Contribute to asset management planning and annual capital works programs.
• Prepare project briefs, specifications and tender documentation.
• Support planning for future major indoor recreation facilities.
